Michaela Valentová is a researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Her research focuses on various aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy policy, and specifically on financing and evaluation of energy efficiency policy instruments. She works as an external expert for the European Commission, the Joint Research Centre, evaluating National Energy and Climate Plans and Long-Term Renovation Strategies. She is a visiting fellow of the International Sustainable Finance Centre. In 2018-2019 she was an affiliated researcher to the Bennett Institute for Public Policy, University of Cambridge. In her previous work as an energy efficiency policy analyst in SEVEn, The Energy Efficiency Center, she led and contributed to a number of international projects on energy-using products, energy services, and Energy Performance Contracting. Michaela studied for her MSc. at the Central European University, Budapest and holds her PhD. from the Czech Technical University in Prague.
